dc.descriptionThe History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.en_US

dc.description.abstractGıda mühendisliği; fiziksel, kimyasal ve biyolojik bilimlerin, gıdaların işlenmesinde, saklanmasında, taşınmasında ve yeni gıdaların üretilmesinde ve geliştirilmesinde uygulama alanı bulduğu bir mühendislik dalıdır. Türkiye'de 1975 yılında Ege üniversitesi Gıda Mühendisliğinde eğitim öğretime başlamıştır. Bu araştırmada mezunlar, öğretim görevlileri, Gıda Mühendisleri Odası ile yapılan görüşmeler ve yayınlanan dergiler ile Gıda Mühendisliği eğitiminin Türkiye'de başlama süreci araştırılmıştır.en_US
dc.description.abstractFood engineering is an engineering field that is a combination of physical, chemical and biological sciences used in the processing, storing, distributing, producing and developing nourishments. Food Engineering education has started in 1975 in Turkey in Aegean University. This research includes the process of the establishment of the department by the help of the interviews with graduates, academics, Chamber of Food Engineers and the researches from the journals.en_US
