| dc.description | The History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards. | |

Ayrıca, Ankara şehrinin müziğin evrimindeki etkisi ve müziğin siyasi/toplumsal boyutları üzerinde durulmaktadır. Röportajlar ve örnek olaylar, siyasi olayların müzik sahnesine etkisini, toplumsal bilinci artırma potansiyelini anlatmaktadır. Bu makale, Ankara'nın müzik sahnesini anlatarak, müzik sahnesinin çeşitliliğini, zorluklarını ve sahne deneyimlerini okuyucuya sunmayı amaçlamaktadır. | |
| dc.description.abstract | This article examines the evolution of Ankara's music scene and its significance in the societal setting. By focusing on the experiences of people making music in Ankara, the beginning and development of interest in music and the diversity in the scene are examined. Furthermore, the city of Ankara's effect on the evolution of music and the political/social elements of music are underlined. Interviews and case studies demonstrate how political events affect the music scene and how they might increase social consciousness. By explaining Ankara's music scene, this article seeks to offer the reader the diversity, problems, and stage experiences of the music scene. | |
