dc.descriptionThe History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.en_US

dc.description.abstractTürkiye’de bilardo sporu günden güne değişim, gelişim ve tanınırlık kazanmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, bilardonun Türkiye’de profesyonel arenaya girişi ve insanların bilardoya karşı olan bakışının zaman içerisindeki değişimi, Türkiye Bilardo Federasyonu’nun kuruluşu bağlamında incelenmiştir. Araştırmamızda Türkiye Bilardo Federasyonu’nun kuruluşu mihenk taşı olarak kabul edilmiştir ve bilardonun gelişimi; federasyonun kuruluşundan öncesi, kuruluşu ve kuruluşundan sonrası olmak üzere üç ana başlık altında incelenmiştir.en_US
dc.description.abstractBilliards sports in Turkey are gaining change, development, and recognition day by day. The introduction of billiards into the professional arena in Turkey and the change in people's view of billiards over time have been examined in the context of the establishment of the Turkish Billiards Federation. In our research, the establishment of the Turkish Billiards Federation was recognized as a milestone and the development of billiards; it has been examined under three main headings: before the establishment of the federation, its establishment, and after its establishment.en_US
