Eylül 1980 Darbesi öncesinde ve sonrasında Gülsuyu Mahallesi

Abstract

Gülsuyu Mahallesi, İstanbul Maltepe’de bulunan politik bir gecekondu mahallesidir. İçerisinde farklı kültürler, siyasi görüşler ve mezheplere sahip insanlar yaşamasına rağmen mahalle nüfusunun çoğunluğunu 1960’lı yıllardan itibaren Sivas, Erzincan ve çevre illerden gelen Alevi nüfus oluşturmaktadır. Gülsuyu Mahallesi, 1960’lı yıllardan itibaren aldığı Alevi göçü ile beraber sol görüşlü işci ve emekçilerin yaşadığı politik bir mekan haline gelmiştir. Bu çalışmada 12 Eylül 1980 Darbesi ile beraber Gülsuyu Mahallesi’nde yaşanan sosyal, siyasal ve ekonomik açıdan gerçekleşen köklü değişimler incelenmiştir. İstanbul’da yaşayan bir azınlık grubun perspektifinden 12 Eylül 1980 Darbesi ve mahalleye olan aidiyet politikaları anlatılmış olup, 12 Eylül 1980 Darbesinin politik bir mahalle üzerinde ne tür etkilere sebep olduğu incelenmiştir.

Gülsuyu, located in Maltepe district of Istanbul, is a politically active neighbourhood. Even though it includes people from different backgrounds, political views, and religions, the neighbourhood's population mainly consists of Alevi people coming from Sivas and Erzincan in the 1960s. Starting in the 60s, it became a political neighbourhood of working-class people with leftist views. This study examined the social, political, and economic changes that occurred in the Gülsuyu neighbourhood following the September 12, 1980 Coup. From the point of view of a minority group living in İstanbul, the September 12, 1980 Coup with its effect on human lives is explained. The study also includes the locals' belongingness to the neighbourhood.
