dc.descriptionThe History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.en_US

dc.description.abstractBu yazıda, Türkiye Korunmaya Muhtaç Çocuklar (Koruncuk) Vakfı’nın kuruluşu ve faaliyetleri ışığında Türkiye’deki çocuk problemlerini anlamak, anlatmak ve toplumsal farkındalığa katkıda bulunmak amaçlandı. Bu doğrultuda, ihmal edilmiş çocukların kapsamı ve yoksun kalınan haklar, anayasa ve uluslararası antlaşmaların gözünden çocuk tanımı ve onların hukuki konumu, Koruncuk Vakfı’nın kuruluşundan günümüze kadar yaptığı faaliyetleri, ortaklıkları, finansal kaynakları, Türkiye'de bir ilk olan Çocukköy projelerinin detaylı çalışmaları ve vakfın Türkiye medyasında yer alan haberleri sırasıyla çalışmada yer aldı.en_US
dc.description.abstractIn this essay, in the light of Koruncuk Foundation including its history and operations, understanding and demonstration of the problems of children in Turkey are aimed at. Accordingly, the scope of the children in need and deprivation of their rights as an introduction, activities, collaborations, financial resources, Child Village project which is unprecedented in Turkey, and media exposure of the Koruncuk Foundation are explained respectively.en_US
