Kanuni Anatolian High School, one of the important symbols of education and culture in Trabzon, has a long history that goes back to the Trabzon Greek School, founded in 1682. This school served the Greek community in Trabzon until the Turkish War of Independence. After the Republic was founded, the building was used by different schools and played an important role in Trabzon’s education system. In 1902, the Greek School moved to a new building and later continued under different names such as Kemerkaya Greek College, Trabzon Teacher Training School, and Trabzon High School. Today, it is known as Kanuni Anatolian High School. With the different roles it has taken on over the years, the school has become an important part of Trabzon’s educational and cultural history.
