Tosya çakısı, ilçenin sosyo-kültürel yapısına bağlı olarak ortaya çıkan bağcılık kültürünün getirdiği gereksinimlere dayanarak ilçe ahalisi tarafından imal edilmeye başlamıştır. Çakının üretimi Arasta Çarşısı adı verilen zanaatkârlar çarşısında gerçekleştirilmektedir ve ilçenin önde gelen sosyal ve kültürel özelliklerinden biridir. Bu araştırmada Tosya çakısının genel özellikleri, ilçenin çakıya ve çakının ilçeye olan etkileri, bu zanaatın başlamasını sağlayan kişiler ve günümüzde önde gelen icracıları, üretiminin başladığı ilk günden günümüze olan değişimleri ve çakının üretim aşamaları incelenecektir. Çalışmada çakı ve ilçenin zanaat kültürünü aktaran gazete haberlerinden, ürünün ilçeye ait olduğunu tescilleyen patent belgesinden, ilçenin sosyo-kültürel ve sosyo-ekonomik yapısını aktaran makalelerden ve çakı hakkında yapılmış olan bazı röportaj videolarından yararlanılacaktır. Ayrıca araştırmaya kaynak olması açısından ilçede çakı zanaatını sürdüren ya da sürdürmüş olan icracılar ile de röportaj yapılmıştır. Bu çalışma ışığında Kastamonu Tosya ilçesinin kültürel ve ekonomik değerlerinden biri olan çakıcılığın ilçeye ve zanaat kültürüne olan etkilerinin daha iyi yansıtılması amaçlanmıştır.

Tosya pocketknife has started to be manufactured by the people of the town, based on the requirements comes from the vinegrowing culture that emerged depends on the socio-cultural structure of the town. The production of the pocketknife mostly being carried out in the Arasta Bazaar and it is the pioneer socio-cultural features of the the district. Pocketknifedy, the general features of the pocketknife, the impacts that pocketknife has towards to district and district’s impacts towards the pocketknife, the people who enable the establishment of this artisanship and the people who are maintaining this artisanship today, the changes that pocketknife gone through since the start of the production to nowadays and the manufacturing stages that pocketknife has will be inspected. In this study, the news will be utilized for the culture of pocketknife and artisanship in the district. Also, the patent of the pocketknife will be included. The socio-economic and socio-cultural aspects of the district will be transmitted with the help of some articles. The interview videos about pocketknife will be used in the study. Interviews of people who are artisans of this pocketknife had been conducted and will be included in the study. The purpose of this study is revealing pocketknife artisanship which is one of the cultural and economic aspects of the Tosya district.
