| dc.description | The History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards. | |

| dc.description.abstract | Bu makale, 1980‐2000 yılları arasında Ankara ilinde bulunan okullardaki okul üniformalarını ele almaktadır. Okul üniformalarının bu dönemde nasıl değiştiğini, bu değişikliklerin üzerinde kimlerin etkisi olduğunu, bu değişikliklerin arkasındaki motivasyonları araştırır. Ankara Atatürk Anadolu Lisesi ve Ankara Bahçelievler Deneme Lisesi başta olmak üzere diğer araştırmalardan da yararlanarak, okulla ilgili bireylerin – öğretmenler, öğrenciler, veliler ve yöneticiler olmak üzere – görüşlerini inceleyerek okul üniformalarındaki farklılıklarının öğrenciler üzerindeki etkisini değerlendirir. | |
| dc.description.abstract | This article covers the school uniforms in the schools in the city of Ankara between the years of 1980 to 2000. It studies how the uniforms change in this period, who influenced this changes as well as the motivations behind these changes. It evaluates the effects of the changes in the school uniforms on the students through the views of the individuals related to school – including teachers, students, parents and administrators – obtained through various previous researches with emphasis on Ankara Atatürk Anadolu High School and Ankara Bahçelievler Deneme High School. | |
