dc.descriptionThe History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.en_US

dc.description.abstractBu araştırmada, Beyoğlu Anadolu Lisesi binasının açılış tarihinden itibaren olan işlevleri, okulun eğitim vermeye başladığı zaman, eğitime ara verilen zaman aralıkları da dahil olarak günümüze kadar olan gelişimi ve okul ile ilgili efsaneler incelenmiştir. Binanın, ülkenin siyasi durumunun okulun üzerindeki etkisi ve okul İngilizlerin bünyesi altındayken okulun müfredatı üzerinde durulmuştur. Yazılı ve sözlü kaynaklar ile araştırma tamamlanmıştır.en_US
dc.description.abstractIn this research, the development of the Beyoğlu Anadolu Lisesi’s building, the development of the school and the legends of the school are examined including the time intervals at which the school has begun to provide education. Also, the impact of the political situation of the country on the school and the curriculum of the school during this time interval were examined. Research was completed with written and verbal sources.en_US
