ERCP’nin Türkiye’deki öncülerinden Burhan Şahin

ERCP (Endoskopik Retrograd Kolanjiyo Pankreatografi) genellikle safra ve pankreas yolu hastalıklarının tedavisinde kullanılan bir yöntemdir. Bu yöntemin Türkiye’de uygulanması ve eğitiminin verilmesinde büyük pay sahibi olan isimlerden biri de Burhan Şahin’dir. Burhan Şahin hayatı boyunca farklı şehirlerde ve hastanelerde tıp kariyerini sürdürdü. Burhan Şahin, gelişmesinde büyük pay sahibi olduğu Ankara Yüksek İhtisas Hastanesinde uzun yıllar çalıştı. Ayrıca ERCP yönteminin Türkiye genelinde yayılmasını sağlamak için büyük çaba gösterdi. Burhan Şahin hem tıp alanına sağladıklarıyla hem de hastalarıyla ve çevresiyle olan ilişkileriyle bilinen bir isimdir. Dolayısıyla Burhan Şahin sadece bir doktor olarak değil aynı zamanda bilgili bir hoca, yardımsever bir arkadaş gibi farklı yönlerle de öne çıkmaktadır.

Burhan Şahin is one of the names who have a great share in the implementation and training of this method in Turkey. Burhan Şahin continued his medicine career in different cities and hospitals throughout his life. Burhan Şahin worked for many years at Ankara Yüksek İhtisas Hospital, where he had a large share in its development. He also made great efforts to ensure the spread of the ERCP method throughout Turkey. Burhan Şahin is a name known both for his efforts in the field of medicine and for his relationships with his patients and his environment. Therefore, Burhan Şahin is not only a doctor but also a teacher, friend, and a personality that stands out with his different aspects.
