1968 hareketlerinde kadınların gücü: Şirin Cemgil ve kadın aktivizmi

1968 yılı, Dünyada ve Türkiye’de etkileri ve sonuçları itibariyle bir yıldan ziyade bir döneme verilen isim haline gelmiştir. Bu araştırmada, mücadeleye ve değişime kendini adayan Şirin Cemgil ve hayatı üzerinden 1968 öğrenci hareketleri ve toplumsal cinsiyet rollerinin döneme etkisi incelenmiştir. Bu sebeple çeşitli kaynakların yanı sıra Şirin Cemgil’in oğlu Ali Taylan Cemgil ile de sözlü röportaj gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışmada öncelikle 68 Dönemi’ne genel bir bakışla olayların gelişimi anlatılmış, akabinde 68 dönemindeki olaylarda kadınların yerine bir giriş yapılmıştır. Bu makalede birincil kaynaktan edinilen bilgilerle Şirin Cemgil’in biyografisi aktarılmış ve kadın mücadelesine bıraktığı miras toplumsal cinsiyet algısıyla ilişkilendirilerek anlatılmıştır.

The year 1968 has become known not just as a year, but as an era with significant impacts and outcomes worldwide and in Turkey. This research examines the 1968 student movements and the impact of gender roles during that period through the life and commitments of Şirin Cemgil, who dedicated herself to the struggle and change. The first part of the study provides an overview of the events of the 1968 era, followed by an introduction to the role of women in the events of that period. This article, using primary source information, describes the biography of Şirin Cemgil and discusses her legacy in the women's struggle, relating it to the perception of gender roles.
