In the previous centuries, many crafts that were common in the Anatolian lands have been almost forgotten and some have been disappeared. Kutnu fabric weaving, especially made in Gaziantep, is one of these crafts, but it is trying to regain its old reputation in the 21th century. Kutnu fabric is a valuable fabric that dates back to old times and has been woven in the Gaziantep region since the 16th century. Kutnu, the raw material of which is silk and cotton, is a hand-woven art obtained by dipping the yarn into dyes of different colors. This fabric, which has many weaving stages and types, has unique motifs and patterns. Kutnu, which was widespread in the past, was used both by society and by the members of the palace. Today, the usage area of this fabric has become more limited compared to the past. In this research, the historical process from past to present has been examined by making interviews with craftsmen interested in Kutnu fabric.
