Kralların ressamı: Rahmi Pehlivanlı

Abstract

Orta Anadolu, içindeki güzellikleri çok az dışarıya vuran mütevazı bir memlekettir. Anadolu'nun göbeğinde Keskin'de doğan Rahmi Pehlivanlı da memleketinin kaderiyle doğmuştur. Fakat içinde onu her şartta resim yapmaya iten inatçı bir sanatçı vardır. Kimseden görüp öğrenmeden, içinden gelerek başladığı resim sanatında, yine içgüdüleriyle, hayallerinin peşinden koşmuş ve kralların ressamı unvanını almıştır. Hayatı, kendi tırnaklarıyla kazıdığı ve tablolarıyla taçlandırdığı bir başarı hikâyesini anlatır aslında. Döneminde sahip olduğu üne ve paraya rağmen ülkesinin ve milletinin değerlerine bağlı kalan Rahmi Pehlivanlı gelecek nesillere hayat hikâyesi ve sanat mirası açısından büyük bir miras bırakmıştır.

Central Anatolia is a modest country with little expression of beauty. Rahmi Pehlivanlı, who was born in Keskin in the heart of Anatolia, was born with the fate of his hometown. However there is a stubborn artist who pushes him to paint in every condition within him. In his art which he started without learning from anyone, he persued his dreams with his instincts and became to known as the artist of kings. It tells a story of success that he pulls himself up by his own bootstraps and crowned this success with his paintings. Rahmi Pehlivanlı, who remained committed to the values of his country and nation despite his reputation and money during his time, left a great legacy to future generations in terms of his life story and art heritage.
