Türkiye’de bir geleneğin temsilcisi: Bilkent Üniversitesi Felsefe Bölümü

Bu makalede Bilkent Üniversitesi Felsefe Bölümünün kuruluş ve gelişme aşamaları ele alınmıştır. İlk olarak Türkiye ve Ankara’da akademik düzeyde felsefenin tarihçesi ve gelişim süreci incelenmiştir. Daha sonra Bilkent Üniversitesinin kuruluşundan bahsedilmiştir. Ardından felsefe bölümünün kuruluşu incelenmiştir. Bu incelemede “Büyük Kitaplar” adlı dersin içeriği ve etkisi, bölümün kurulma amacına ve aşamasına, analitik felsefe geleneği ve bölüm arasındaki ilişki incelenmiştir. Son olarak bölümün eğitim aşaması; başlangıç yılları, gelişme yılları ve günümüz olarak üç alt başlıkta incelenmiştir. Bu araştırma sonucunda Bilkent Üniversitesi Felsefe Bölümünün kuruluşundan günümüze kadar devam eden süreci olabilecek detaylı bir şekilde okuyucuya sunulmuştur.

This article argues the establishment and developmental stages of the Department of Philosophy at Bilkent University. First, the history and development process of philosophy at the academic level in Turkey and Ankara is analyzed. Later, the foundation of Bilkent University is mentioned. Later, the foundation of Bilkent University is said. Following this, the foundation of the philosophy department is examined. This analysis analyzes the content and impact of the "Great Books" course, the purpose and stage of the foundation of the department, and the relationship between the department and the tradition of analytic philosophy. Finally, the educational stages of the department are analyzed under three sub-headings: the early years, the years of development, and the present day. Consequently, research, the process of the Bilkent University Philosophy Department, from its foundation to the present day, has been presented to the reader in a detailed manner.
