dc.descriptionThe History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.

dc.description.abstractBülent Özveren Türkiye radyo ve televizyon tarihi açısından önemli işler başaran sunucu ve spikerdir. Kariyerine TRT'de tiyatro bölümünde başlamış; spor spikerliği, yarışma spikerliği, prodüktörlük, radyoculuk yapmış, Türkiye'nin Eurovision'a katılmasını sağlamış ve sunuculuğunu yapmıştır. TRT kariyeri haricinde Ege Televizyonunda genel müdürlük, reklamcılık alanında üst düzey yöneticilik, dergi yöneticiliği, müşteri hizmetleri bölümünde çalışmak gibi çeşitli yerlerde de kariyerini sürdürmüştür. Bülent Özveren radyo ve televizyon kariyeri dışında çeşitli kuruluş ve üniversitelerde diksiyon alanında eğitimler de vermiştir. Bu çalışmada Bülent Özveren'in özel hayatı, kariyeri ve anıları anlatılmaktadır.
dc.description.abstractBülent Özveren is a speaker and presenter who accomplished many significant achievements in terms of the history of radio and television of Turkey. He had begun his career in theater department at TRT. Besides, he also worked as sport speaker, producer, radio speaker and Eurovision speaker and he organized many competitions. In addition, he is the person who enabled Turkey to participate in Eurovision. Apart from TRT career, he worked as general manager of Ege Television, CEO in advertising field, manager of magazine and an employee in customer service. Furthermore, he provided education about diction in various universities and organizations. In this research, Bülent Özveren's private life and career is explained.
