| dc.description | The History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards. | |

| dc.description.abstract | Bu araştırmada, Nermin Özkaya'nın hayatı incelenecektir. Öncelikle Nermin Özkaya'nın yaşadığı şehir olan Elazığ'ın sosyal, ekonomik, ve siyasal şartları ele alınacaktır. Daha sonra Nermin Özkaya'nın, Türkiye'nin ilk kadın baro başkanı olmasına ilişkin olarak kadınların hukuk dünyasındaki konumu üzerinde durulacaktır. Nermin Özkaya'nın hayat hikâyesi incelenip Elazığ Baro Başkanlığı ve Hazine Avukatlığı yaptığı süreç değerlendirilecektir. | |
| dc.description.abstract | The social, economical and political conditions of the Elazığ city where Nermin Özkaya has lived is investigated in order to have a deep understanding about Nermin Özkaya's life. She is the first head of the bar association in Turkey. That's way the positions of the women in law community are examined and correlated with Nermin Özkaya. After that, the life of Nermin Özkaya is observed. The periods of being a head of bar association in Elazığ and treasure attorney is considered. | |
