dc.descriptionThe History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.en_US

dc.description.abstractBu çalışma Akkoyunlu Ailesinin Akkoyunlu Devleti’nden sonra Osmanlı İmparatorluğu Döneminden başlayarak günümüz Cumhuriyet Döneminde de sosyal ve kültürel durumlarını ve gücünü tespit etmektedir. Çalışma, güvenilirliği ve doğrulu açısından en yüksek seviyeye çekebilmek amacıyla Akkoyunluların kuruluşundan itibaren aile yapısı, yaşandıkları yerler, aile gelenekleri, geçirdikleri savaşlar incelenmiştir. İncelemeler çeşitli makaleler ve kitaplar analiz edilerek ve aile bireyleriyle doğrudan iletişim kurularak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Edinilen bilgiler günümüzdeki yaşantıların daha sağlıklı yorumlanması ve bu yaşantının daha net anlaşılması için verilen bilgilerde kullanılmıştır.en_US
dc.description.abstractIn this study, the social and cultural status and power of the Akkoyunlu Family are determined in a time interval starting from the Ottoman Empire Period, and the present Republican Period after the Akkoyunlu State had collapsed. In order to maximize the reliability and accuracy of the study, the family structure of the AkkoyunluFamily, the places they lived in, family traditions, and the wars they had were examined. The reviews were carried out by analyzing various articles and books and communicating directly with family members. The information obtained has been used in the information given for a healthier interpretation of today's lives and a clearer understanding of this life.en_US
