Başkentte kopan çığlık: 1990’larda Ankara’da ağır Metal müzik

Metal müziğin 70’lerde Türkiye’ye gelmesi ve yayılmasıyla birçok şehirde Metal kültürüne karşı ilgi artmıştır. Bu şehirlerden, içlerinde Metal müzik kültürüne en çok ayak uyduranlardan biri ise şüphesiz Ankara’dır. Bu çalışma, 90’lı yıllarda Ankara’daki metal müzik kültürünün ve bu camiadaki insanların Türkiye’de yeteri kadar değer görmemiş olduklarından bu konuya daha çok ışık tutma amacıyla yazılmıştır. Bu müzik türüyle uğraşmış gruplar ve bu camiadaki diğer insanların karşılaştığı avantaj ve dezavantajları göstermeyi hedefleyen bir araştırmadır. Metal müziğin Ankara’daki gelişiminin etkenleri, grupların müzik icra edebilme, reklam yapabilme olanakları göz önünde bulundurularak toplumun bu müzisyenlere ve metal müziğe karşı tavırları incelenmiştir. Bu müziğin ortamları ve medyadaki görünümü de metal kültürünün Ankara’daki etkenlerinden olacak şekilde araştırılmıştır. Makalede 90’larda Ankara ve Ankaralı gruplar üzerinden Metal müziğin durumu ve Metal kültürünün oluşması anlatılmıştır.

With the arrival and spread of metal music in Turkey in the ‘70s, metal music attracted the interest of many cities. Among these cities, one of the most compatible city to the metal music culture is Ankara. This paper was written to shed light on the Metal music culture in Ankara in the 1990s, seeing most people's lack of appreciation for this genre in Turkey. This study shows the disadvantages and advantages of groups dealing with this genre of music and with other people in society. The attitudes of society towards these musicians and to metal music have been studied, considering the factors that led to the development of metal music in Ankara, the opportunities groups get to perform music, and the chances of advertising. The atmosphere of Metal music and its representation in the media has been investigated to see the influence of the Metal culture of the 90s in Ankara. The article discusses metal music and culture in the '90s on Ankara-focused bands and listeners.
