Turkey experienced the 1994 Economic Crisis as a result of issues like high inflation, volatile currency rates, and budget deficits that surfaced in the early 1990’s. The economic situation grew worse due to the Turkish Lira's devaluation and rising inflation rates. This crisis had a detrimental effect on both the public and private sectors, and several organizations were forced into bankruptcy. The crisis could not have been avoided, despite the fact that several rules, including the April 5 Decisions and Savings Measures, were created to address it. Banks like TYT Bank and Marmara Bank failed as a result of the crisis, and the Social Insurance Institution was unable to handle it.
