dc.descriptionThe History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.en_US

dc.description.abstractKaynanalar dizisi 1974 yılında çekilmeye başlanan bir durum komedisidir.Yapımcılığını üstlenen ve başrolünü oynayan Tekin Akmansoy tarafından yazılmıştır. Dizi Kantar ailesinin Anadolu’dan Ankara’ya göç edişini anlatırken modern ve geleneksel aile kavramlarını da izleyicisine harmanlayarak aktarmıştır.Çekilmeye başlandığı dönemde birçok başarısız yapıt bulunurken bunların arasından parlamayı başarmış ve insanları ekranlara kilitleyip güldürmüştür. Dizi Kantar ailesinin yaşadığı hikayeleri mizahi bir dille anlatırken gerekli yerlerde doğruya ve yanlışa vurgu yapmayı da ihmal etmemiştir. Kısacası başarılı bir yapıt olan Kaynanalar tarihe adını Türkiye’nin ilk başarılı durum komedisi dizisi olarak yazdırmıştır.en_US
dc.description.abstractKaynanalar is a sit-com serie which had begun in 1974. Serie has been written by Tekin Akmansoy who is also the producer and the main actor of the serie. Serie tells its viewer the mixture of both modern and conventional family ideologies in the journey of Kantar family migrating from Anatolia to Ankara. While the serie was being filmed there were a lot of failed series. However, Kaynanalar managed to shine out of all of them and made a lot of people lock to their screen and made them laugh. While telling the stories of Kantar family, it managed to touch to the points which contained both correct and mistaken behaviours. To say it shortly, Kaynanalar was a successful serie which is known for being the first ever sit-com in the Turkey history.en_US
