dc.descriptionThe History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.en_US

dc.description.abstractÖzellikle 1960’lı yıllardan itibaren Türkiye, Avrupa’nın farklı ülkelerine göç vermektedir. Bu durum, iç gücü göçü anlaşmaları ile başlamış olup günümüzde halen çeşitli sebeplerle devam etmektedir. Türkiye, başlıca Almanya ve Belçika ülkelerine göç vermektedir. Bu makale, Almanya ve Belçika’da yaşayan Türk göçmenlerin ekonomik, politik, sosyokültürel ve psikolojik açılardan ne gibi etkilerle karşı karşıya kaldıklarını, çeşitli araştırmalar, kaynaklar ve verilerden yararlanarak yansıtmayı amaçlamaktadır. Türk göçmenlerin Almanya ve Belçika’ya göç sürecince yaşadıkları durumlar ve bu ülkelerde göçmen olarak karşılaştıkları olumlu ve olumsuz faktörler açıklanırken her iki ülke ile ilgili toplanan bulgular karşılaştırılacak ve sentez bir sonuç elde edilecektir.en_US
dc.description.abstractEspecially since the 1960s, Turkey has been giving immigrants to several countries. This situation started with labor migration agreements and continues today for various reasons. The primary immigrants from Turkey have been going to Germany and Belgium. This article will reflect the economic, political, socio-cultural, and psychological factors of Turkish immigrants who emigrated to Germany and Belgium by focusing on several resources, databases, and research. Turkish immigrants who have emigrated to Belgium and Germany will be compared by focusing on the positive and negative effects of both countries and getting a synthesis conclusion.en_US
