Taxidermy, which is based on preventing the body from decaying and in time, continues its existence in the world for years. Taxidermy, which has similarity with mummification, was firstly preferred in medicine and biology, now it is a method preferred to stuff legally hunted animals on the purpose of art. While for human taxidermy the main goal is to delay the decaying due to some reasons (autopsy, transportation of corpses, etc.), in animal taxidermy there appears an aesthetic concern as well. İhsan Yey and Ansam Selçuk Karaköy, are two of the taxidermy artists in Turkey who turned their hobby to a profession. Thanks to their interviews, we learnt the importance and place of taxidermy in Turkey.
