dc.descriptionThe History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.en_US

dc.description.abstractKoton şirketi, 1988 yılında girişimci çift Gülden Yılmaz ve Yılmaz Yılmaz tarafından kuruldu. Türkiye ekonomisinin liberalleştiği zamanda Kuzguncuk'ta küçük bir dükkan olarak başlayan Koton, hem Türkiye'de hem de Orta Doğu ve Avrupa ülkelerinde günümüzde 480 mağazaya sahip ve aynı zamanda Türkiye'deki en büyük tekstil markalarından biri haline geldi. 1996 yılında ilk yurtdışı mağazasını Münih'te açan şirketin vizyonu 5 kıtada mağaza açmaktır.en_US
dc.description.abstractKoton clothing company was created by the entrepreneur couple Gülden Yılmaz and Yılmaz Yılmaz in 1988. Koton, which started as a small store in Kuzguncuk when Turkey's economy had switched to its liberal state, has become one of the biggest textile companies who owns 480 stores in the Middle East and Europe as well as Turkey. While the company opened its first store abroad in Munich in 1996, today's goal is to spread to 5 continents of the globe.en_US
