| dc.description | The History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards. | en_US |

| dc.description.abstract | 1950'lerde Yugoslavya'dan Türkiye'ye gerçekleşen göç, farklı siyasi ve ekonomik etkenlerle şekillendi. Boşnaklar, 1950'lerde Yugoslavya'dan Türkiye'ye göç etmeye karar verdiklerinde, yabancı bir ülkede adapte olma zorluklarıyla karşılaştılar. Dil bilmemeleri, sınırlı maddi kaynaklar ve barınma sorunları, eğitim, iş bulma ve adaptasyon konularında çeşitli zorluklara yol açtı. Bu makale, Davutoğlu ailesinin göç deneyimini inceliyor. Boşnakların dil engeli ve ekonomik sıkıntıları, yeni bir hayata uyum sağlama sürecinde önemli engeller oluşturdu. Türkiye'ye yerleşen göçmenlerin kimlik mücadelesi ve kültürel entegrasyon süreçleri, özellikle ikinci kuşakta etkili oldu. Bu çalışma, göçmenlerin yaşadıkları zorlukları ve kimlik oluşturma süreçlerini ele alıyor. | |
| dc.description.abstract | The migration from Yugoslavia to Turkey in the 1950s was influenced by different political and economic factors. Muslims in Yugoslavia, who were directed to emigrate as a result of political pressures, encountered various demographic and demographic difficulties when they arrived in Turkey. More than financial change, migration also brings with it a cultural future. This article explores the migration experience of the Davutoğlu family. Bosnians struggled with language barriers and financial difficulties in adapting to a new life. The article discusses the identity struggles and cultural integration of immigrants in Turkey, particularly in the second generation. | |
