Bulgaristan’ın Rusçuk bölgesine bağlı Semerciköy’den (Semerdjievo) Ankara Pursaklar’a göçleri ele alınan Kantar ailesinin göçü özellikle dönemin asimilasyon politikası çerçevesinden ele alınmış, aileyi göçe iten sebepler ve yaşadıkları zorluklarla birlikte incelenmiştir. Kantar ailesinin göç hikayesi, göçün bireyler üzerindeki psikolojik etkilerini incelemektedir.
This article mainly focuses on the migration process which took place in 1989 from Bulgaria to Turkey, from the perspective of Kantarov family which had experienced the migration one year later, in 1990. The migration of Kantarov family from Semerdijevo to Ankara, Pursaklar was investigated by means of the experienced assimilation policies of the Bulgarian leader Jivkov. The reasons behind the decision of the migration were studied with the migration story of the Kantar family. The story of their migration was considered to be worth investigating since it provides information of the effects of migration and assimilation on both the first and the second generations of Turkish immigrants in the 1989 migration wave from Bulgaria.
