Yakın dönem Cumhuriyet Tarihinde bir Bahriyeli: Ramazan Cem Gürdeniz

Türk Deniz Kuvvetleri, denizlerden gelebilecek tüm saldırı ve tehlikelere karşı Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Devleti’ni korumakla görevlendirilmiş olan bir Türk askerî kuvvettir. Bu görevini yerine getirmek amacıyla kurulduğu tarihten bu yana sayısız denizci yetiştirmiştir. Yetiştirdiği denizciler sayesinde hem kendi askerî gücünü sağlamış hem de üstlendiği görevi yerine getirirken izleyeceği stratejileri belirlemiştir. Ramazan Cem Gürdeniz de yakın dönem Cumhuriyet Tarihi’nde Türk Deniz Kuvvetleri’nin yetiştirmiş olduğu en önemli figürlerden birisidir. Bu araştırmada; Ramazan Cem Gürdeniz’in çocukluk, gençlik ve askerlik yılları, eşi Rengin Gürdeniz ile olan evliliği, ortaya koyduğu Mavi Vatan doktrini, sahip olduğu dünya görüşü ve Balyoz Davası sürecinde yaşadıkları konu edilmiştir. Bu amaçla, kendisi ile sözlü görüşme yapılmış, yazdığı kitaplar, köşe yazıları ile yaptığı diğer sözlü görüşmeler incelenmiş, ayrıca eşinin yazmış olduğu anı kitabından ve arşivlerdeki birçok gazete haberinden yararlanılmıştır. Ramazan Cem Gürdeniz’in hayatı, Türk Deniz Kuvvetleri’nin yakın dönemdeki deniz stratejisinin nasıl ortaya konulduğunun anlaşılması açısından önem taşımaktadır.

Turkish Naval Forces is a Turkish military force designated to defend the Turkish Republic from any threat or attack that might come from the marines. It has raised countless sailors to fulfill this mission since it was established. It has ensured both its martial strength and designated the strategies that it will follow while officiating its duties thanks to the sailors it has raised. Ramazan Cem Gürdeniz is one of the most significant figures that the Turkish Naval Forces have raised in the recent history of the Turkish Republic. In this research, Ramazan Cem Gürdeniz’s childhood, adolescence and soldiership years, his marriage with his wife Rengin Gürdeniz, the “Mavi Vatan” doctrine that he has propounded, the worldview he holds and, what he experienced during the “Balyoz Case” process are covered. To that end, an interview with him, the analysis of his books, his opinion columns and his other interviews have been executed. Additionally, the journal book that his wife has written and many reports in the archives has been utilized. Ramazan Cem Gürdeniz’s life has a crucial role in comprehending how the marine strategies of the Turkish Naval Forces has been effectuated in the recent era.
