Kuruluşa doğru adım adım: Bilkent Holding

Abstract

Bilkent Holding’in kökleri ilk olarak Dilek inşaatın 1968’yılında kurulmasıyla atıldı. Dilek inşaatın kuruluş amacı; İhsan Doğramacı’nın hayali olan Hacettepe çocuk hastanesinin inşaatını üstlenmekti. Bu görev yerine getirilirken, söz konusu inşaat şirketinin yanında Tepe Ağaç Makine Sanayi limited şirketi kuruldu. Bu şirketleşme aşamaları adım adım Bilkent Holding oluşumuna yaklaşmaktı. Hacettepe çocuk hastanesinin inşaatının ilerleyen zamanlarında; söz konusu hastanenin oksijen ve gaz ihtiyaçlarını karşılamak üzere Meteksan kuruldu. Tüm bunların yanında Bilkent Üniversitesinin kuruluş hazırlıklarına başlandı. İhsan Doğramacı’nın çocuk hastanesi hayali yanında bir diğer hayali de yurt dışında gezip gördüğü eğitim kurumlarına benzeyen böyle bir üniversiteyi kurmaktı. Anayasada değişikliğe gidildiği sırada Doğramacı’nın talebi üzerine Türkiye’de özel üniversite kurulmasıyla ilgili madde değişikliği yapıldı. 1984 yılında ise üniversitenin temelleri atıldı. Üniversitenin kuruluş yılını takiben yine 1984 senesinde Tepe Grubu tarafından Betopan markalı çimentolu yonga levhayı üreten Tepe Betopan Yapı Malzemeleri Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. kuruldu. Üretilen bu levhalar günümüzde yalnızca Tepe inşaat tarafından kullanılmaktadır. Tüm bu alt şirketleri tek bir çatı altında toplamak üzere Bilkent Holding, 1986 yılında kuruldu.

Bilkent holding's roots were first laid when Dilek construction was established in 1968. The aim of Dilek construction was to undertake the construction of Hacettepe children's hospital, which was the dream of Ihsan Doğramacı. While this task was fulfilled, Tepe Wood Machinery Industry limited company was established next to the construction company in question. These stages of corporatization were to approach the formation of Bilkent Holding step by step. Later in the construction of Hacettepe children's hospital, Meteksan was established to meet the oxygen and gas needs of the hospital in question. In addition, preparations for the establishment of Bilkent University have begun. Besides Ihsan Doğramacı's dream of children's hospital, another dream was to establish such a university similar to the educational institutions he traveled abroad and saw. At the time of the amendment to the Constitution, at the request of Doğramacı, the article on the establishment of private universities in Turkey was amended. In 1984, the foundations of the University were laid. After the foundation year of the university, again in 1984, Tepe Betopan Building Materials Industry and trade, which produced betopan branded cemented chipboard by Tepe Group A.P. established. These produced sheets are used today only by Tepe inşaat. Bilkent Holding was established in 1986 to bring all these sub-companies under one roof.
