| en_US |
dc.description.abstract | Rosary is an object that was used for 800 years and was carried up to the 17th century as the rosary art by the Ottoman Turks. Islamic rosary art, which continued to develop in the 17th and 18th centuries, reached its peak in the 19th century in terms of awareness and quality compared to previous years. It is seen as a cultural heritage because it is an object that represents the Turks. The craftsmanship and art dimension of this object, which started to be sold for the first time in the Grand Bazaar, which has been traded for centuries and preferred by people for shopping, also started in the Grand Bazaar for the first time. Karateke Rosary, the only rosary shop of its time, gave a direction to this art by starting in the Grand Bazaar and revealing the concept of the "rosary collection" as we understand it today. In line with the analysis of Karateke Rosary's understanding of craftsmanship and art, sufficient information and clues about Turkish rosary art, culture, and its effects are obtained. | en_US |
