After the coup of 1971, the freedom of political criminals who came to freedom with the amnesty law of 1974 came together to form new organizations. Kurtuluş Socialist Magazine, which was founded in 1974 by the Kurtuluş Group and managed the printing in 1976, has become active in universities in Ankara. The group, which tried to form an effective political structure with some legal and some illegal actions, started to define a newspaper called Kurtuluş in 1978 and experienced its most brilliant periods. The impact of the group decreased after the loss of the former due to the increase in pressures due to the September 12, 1980 coup.
