The Second World War and the Cold War had a negative impact on Yugoslavia’s multinational structure and made life difficult for minorities. These conflicts had a negative impact on the Turkish and Muslim populations, which began to migrate to Türkiye. Emine Behlül and Abidin Zafer, who lived in Yugoslavia at the time, were just two of the thousands of people who migrated to Türkiye. This research paper discusses Emine Behlül and Abidin Zafer’s migration story and how migration affected the following generations. The information Emine Zafer shared is important for understanding the difficulties faced by those who migrated from Yugoslavia and their adaptation process to Türkiye. Eser Zafer’s and Canan Katmer’s information is crucial to examining how migration affects the next generations.
