dc.descriptionThe History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.en_US

dc.description.abstractSerdar Plastik 1973 yılında İlhami Tütek tarafından kurulmuş bir şirkettir. 40 metrekareye kurulan şirket şu anda 40 bin metrekarede 550 çalışanla çalışmalarını sürdürmektedir. Türkiye plastik sektörünün 70lere dayandığını varsayarsak Serdar Plastik, Türkiye plastik sektöründe ilk faaliyet veren kuruluşlardan bir tanesidir. Şu anda da İlhami Tütek!in oğlu Serdar Tütek tarafından çalışmalar yürütülmektedir. Bu makalede şu anki yönetici Serdar Tütek ile görüşülerek şirket tarihçesi hakkında yeterli bilgi ve dökümanlara ulaşılmıştır. Toplanılan bilgilere dayanarak Serdar Plastik!in kuruluşundan itibaren olan gelişimi, hangi alanlarda faaliyet gösterdiği, çalışma politikası anlatılmıştır. Aynı zamanda bu makale, Türkiye plastik sektörünü ve dünyadaki yerini de anlatmaktadır.en_US
dc.description.abstractSerdar Plastik is a company founded in 1973 by İlhami Tütek. The company, which was established on 40 square meters, currently continues its activities with 550 employees in 40 thousand square meters. Assuming that the Turkish plastics industry dates back to the 70s, Serdar Plastik is one of the first companies operating in the Turkish plasticsindustry. Currently, studies are carried out by Serdar Tütek, the son of İlhami Tütek. In this article, sufficient information and documents about the history of the company were obtained by interviewing the current manager Serdar Tütek. Based on the information gathered, the development of Serdar Plastik since its establishment, in which fields it operates, and its working policy are explained. At the same time, this article describes the Turkish plastics industry and its place in the world.en_US
