dc.descriptionThe History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.en_US

dc.description.abstract1959 yılında Seçkin adıyla açtığı sahafta başlayan daha sonra seçkin kitapçılık adıyla kitap dünyasına giren Aytaç Seçkin, 1968 yılında hukuk kitapları satmaya başladı. Ortakları ile birlikte bir adım daha ileri giderek Seçkin Yayıncılığın temelini attılar. 1983 yılında bu işte beraber çalıştığı ortağı ile yollarını ayıran Aytaç Seçkin, yoluna tek başına devam etti. Bugün yayıncılığa devam eden Seçkin yayıncılık aynı zamanda Terazi hukuk ve Ceza hukuku adlı dergileri de yayınlamaktadır.en_US
dc.description.abstractAytaç Seçkin started selling books on 2 November 1959 by opening a second-hand book shop that he named “Seçkin”, and then he entered into the bookselling industry. He started selling law books in 1968. He went one step further with his partner and together they laid the foundations of Seçkin Yayıncılık. Aytaç Seçkin parted ways with his partner in 1983 and continued to work on his own. Seçkin Yayıncılık continues publishing law books today and it also publishes the journals named Terazi Hukuk (Terazi Law Journal) and Ceza Hukuku (Journal of Criminal Law)en_US
