dc.descriptionThe History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.en_US

dc.description.abstractDünyada veteriner hekimlik mesleğinin doğuşundan, gelişiminden; Türkiye’de kullanılan halk folklor bilgilerinin veteriner hekimliğe dönüşerek sivil veteriner hekimliğe geçilmesinden bahsedilmiştir. Bu geçiş sırasında, 1842 yılında kurulan Ankara Üniversitesi Veteriner Fakültesi’nin, Ankara Üniversitesi Veteriner Fakültesi Hastanesi’ne dönüşüm süreci incelenip günümüzdeki yeri ve önemi açıklanmıştır. Bunlara ek olarak, hayvan hakları ve refahı hakkında yapılan çalışmalar araştırılıp, hayvan mevzuatına değinilmiştir.en_US
dc.description.abstractFrom the birth and the development of the veterinary surgeon in the world to the transition of the folk veterinary knowledge that is used in Turkey into veterinary medicine which later formed the civil veterinary surgeon is explained. During this transition, the transformation process of Ankara University Veterinary Faculty ,which was established in 1842, into Ankara University Veterinary Faculty Hospital is examined along with explaining its current place and importance. Apart from these, the studies of animal rights, animal welfare and its regulations are alleged.en_US
