| dc.description | The History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards. | |

| dc.description.abstract | Bu makalenin içeriği Emirdağ ilçesinden Eskişehir’e olan yoğun göçü, gerçekleşen göçlerin gerekçelerini ve sonuçlarını ele almaktadır. Emirdağlı insanların bu kadar yoğun bir şekilde Eskişehir’e aynı zamanda da Avrupa’nın birçok yerine göç etmelerine neden olan sosyal, kültürel ve ekonomik faktörler detaylı bir şekilde incelenmiştir. Ayrıca Eskişehir’e yerleşen Emirdağlıların nasıl bir yaşam tarzına sahip oldukları; gittikleri bölgelerdeki insanları, ekonomiyi ve kültürel değerleri nasıl etkiledikleri, Eskişehir’in yerel halkıyla iletişiminin nasıl olduğu ve Emirdağlıların bu göçler sonucunda nasıl etkilendikleri ele alınmıştır. Bütün bunlara ek olarak verdiği sayısız göçlerin sonucunda Emirdağ ilçesi nasıl etkilenmiştir bu konu da ayrıca incelenmiştir. | |
| dc.description.abstract | The content of this article deals with the intense migration from the Emirdağ district to Eskişehir and the reasons and consequences of the migration. The social, cultural, and economic factors that caused people from Emirdağ to migrate so intensively to Eskişehir and many parts of Europe were examined in detail. In addition, what kind of lifestyle do the people of Emirdağ who settled in Eskişehir have? How they affected the people, economy, and cultural values in the regions they went to and how the people of Emirdağ were affected as a result of these migrations were discussed. In addition, how the Emirdağ district was involved due to countless migrations was also examined. | |
