dc.descriptionThe History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.

dc.description.abstractFantastik Realizm akımı, 20. Yüzyılda Sürrealizm, Dadaizm ve Empresyonizm gibi öncü akımlardan etkilenerek ortaya çıkmıştır. Bu akım, Rudolf Hausner, Ernst Fuchs, Wolfgang Hutter, Anton Lehmden ve Arik Brauer tarafından II. Dünya savaşı sonrası 1945 yılında kurulmuş olan Viyana Fantastik Realizm Okulu ile başlamıştır. Erol Deneç, Fantastik Realizm akımının Türkiye’deki en önemli temsilcisidir. Kendisi İstanbul’da 1941 yılında dünyaya gelmiştir. Çocukluğundan itibaren sanatı farklı bir bakış açısıyla ele almıştır. Özgünlüğü, onu öncelikle Avusturya’ya ve Avrupa’nın bir çok ülkesine götürmüştür. Avrupa serüvenin ardından 1989 yılında Türkiye’ye Fantastik Realizm akımını tanıtmak için dönmüştür. Kendisi Türkiye’de 1995 yılında İstanbul Fantastik Realizm grubunu kurmuştur. Erol Deneç sayesinde Türkiye ve Türk sanatçılar, sanata ilgi duyanlar yeni bir akıma ev sahipliği yapmıştır.
dc.description.abstractThe Fantastic Realism movement emerged in the twentieth century, influenced by pioneering currents such as Surrealism, Dadaism and Impressionism. This trend is described by Rudolf Hausner, Ernst Fuchs, Wolfgang Hutter, Anton Lehmden, Arik Brauer. It started in the Vienna School of Fantastic Realism, which was founded in 1945 after World War II. Erol Dene is the most important figure for Fantastic Realism in Turkey. He was born in 1941 in Istanbul. Since his youth his attitude towards art was different. Her originality led her to Austria and to many European countries.in 1989 he returned Turkey for sharing his sense of art with Turks. He founded the group in 1995 in Istanbul Turkey Fantastic Realism. Erol Deneç through Turkey and Turkish artists, who are interested in art was hosted to a new trend.
