dc.descriptionThe History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.

dc.description.abstractŞair ve neyzen olan Neyzen Tevfik 24 Mart 1879 yılında Bodrum’da doğmuş, 28 Ocak 1953 yılında İstanbul’da vefat etmiştir. Bu araştırmada sıra dışı hayatı ile toplumda çok fazla ilgi çekmiş olan Neyzen Tevfik’in hayatı nasıl geliştiği ve yaşadığı dönemde birçok insan tarafından neden hiç görülmemiş biri olarak tanımlandığını, kendisini, farklı karakterini yaratan özelliklerini ve psikolojisinin yaşamı üzerindeki etkisi kaynaklar kullanılarak incelenmiştir
dc.description.abstractŞair ve neyzen olan Neyzen Tevfik 24 Mart 1879 yılında Bodrum’da doğmuş, 28 Ocak 1953 yılında İstanbul’da vefat etmiştir. Bu araştırmada sıra dışı hayatı ile toplumda çok fazla ilgi çekmiş olan Neyzen Tevfik’in hayatı nasıl geliştiği ve yaşadığı dönemde birçok insan tarafından neden hiç görülmemiş biri olarak tanımlandığını, kendisini, farklı karakterini yaratan özelliklerini ve psikolojisinin yaşamı üzerindeki etkisi kaynaklar kullanılarak incelenmiştir;Neyzen Tevfik, a poet and neyzen, was born on March 24, 1879 in Bodrum. He died in Istanbul on 28 January 1953. In this research, how Neyzen Tevfik met ney, how his family reacted to the ney and how Neyzen Tevfik experienced both psychological and life difficulties will be analyzed. By analyzing his poems, and focusing on how he had a state of mind and the reasons for his addiction to alcohol.
