This article examines the life of the Göçtürk family, the political and economic conditions in Yugoslavia and Turkey during the 1950s, and the reasons behind the family's departure from Yugoslavia and their migration to Turkey. It explores the challenges faced by the Göçtürk family in Turkey, including language barriers, cultural mismatches, and financial difficulties. Another focus of the article is how the Göçtürk family achieved professional success in their jobs in Turkey and built a life from scratch. Thus, the article highlights both the impact of the migration process on the family and the story of how they established a new life in a foreign land.
