Ankara’da ilk Türkiyedeki üçüncü Turizm Otelcilik okulu: BAŞTEM’den ANKÜ mesleğe

1988 yılında BAŞTEM Otelcilik Kursu adı altında kurulmuş olan Türkiye’de üçüncü Ankara’da ilk Turizm Otelcilik okulunun, Ankara Üniversitesi isim hakkını alarak Türkiye’deki ilk Üniversiteli Meslek okulu olması araştırmanın konusudur. Bu süreçte okulun açılmasına zemin hazırlayan faktörler ele alınmıştır. Okulun yapısı ve öğrencilere sağladığı imkanlara değinilmiştir. Okulun kurucusu ve mezunlarla yapılan röportajlar sonucu okulun verdiği eğitim ve bu sektördeki yeri saptanmıştır.

The subject of the research is the Tourism and Hotel Management school in Ankara, which was established in 1988 under the name of BAŞTEM Hotel Management Course, and is the first Vocational School with a University in Turkey by taking the name of Ankara University. In this process, the factors that paved the way for the opening of the school were discussed. The structure of the school and the opportunities it provides to the students are mentioned. As a result of the interviews with the founder of the school and the graduates, the education provided by the school and its place in this sector were determined.
