Türkiye’de alkol tüketim kültürünün değişimi ve batılılaşmayla gelişen bar kültürü

Abstract

Bu çalışmada Orient Bar başta olmak üzere zamanla değişen barlar incelenip, eğlence kültürünün modernleşme süreci ele alınacaktır. Türkiye’de bar kültürü, Cumhuriyet Dönemi’nde başlayan, modernleşme hareketleriyle değişen ve birçok farklı kesime hitap eden bir kültürdür. Toplumsal yapıyı yansıtmasıyla, sosyal statüleri belli eden barlarıyla bu kültür, hep ilgi çeken bir konu olmuştur. Hükümetin yaptığı düzenlemeler, çıkardığı kanunlar ve politikalar tüketim oranını olumsuz bir şekilde etkilemiştir. Bar kültürünün zamanla ekonomiye olan etkisi, alınan vergilerin ağırlaşması ve turizm sektörünün canlanmasıyla artmıştır. Popülaritesi zamanla artan bar kültürü, yeni tip alkolleri Türkiye’ye kazandırmış, farklı insan profillerinin barlarda görülmeye başlanmasını sağlamıştır. Publarda kadınların da popülasyonun artması, mekanlara yeni bir soluk getirmiş, yeni tip müzikler de eklenince farklı ve özel atmosferler oluşmaya başlamıştır.

In this study, bars that have changed over time, especially Orient Bar, will be examined and the modernization process of entertainment culture will be discussed. Bar culture in Turkey has changed with the modernization movements that began in the Republican Period and it serves to many different segments. This culture has always been an interesting subject with its bars reflecting the social structure and revealing social status of people. The regulations, laws and policies made by the government have negatively affected the consumption rate. The impact of bar culture on the economy has increased over time with the raise in taxes and the revival of the tourism sector. Bar culture, which has increased in popularity over time, has introduced new types of alcohol to Turkey. It caused different human profiles began to be seen in bars. The increase in the female population in pubs was a shot in the arm to the venues, and with the addition of new types of music, different and special atmospheres have begun to form.
