Türk dağcılığındaki zirve rotalarının tarihi ve Bilkent Doğa Sporları Topluluğu

Abstract

Bu çalışma, Türkiye’deki zirve dağcılık faaliyetlerinin başladığı 1920’lerden günümüze Türk dağcılığının gelişim serüvenini Bilkent Doğa Sporları Topluluğu (DOST) gözünden incelemektedir. Türkiye coğrafyasının büyük bir kısmını oluşturan dağlık arazi, dağcılık faaliyetlerinin Türk kültüründe önemli bir konuma gelmesini sağlamıştır. Zirve rotalarının oluşturulması ve kullanılması için geçmişten günümüze çeşitli örgütler kurulmuştur. 1989’dan beri aktif olan Bilkent Doğa Sporları Topluluğu, Türkiye dağcılığındaki zirve rotalarının gelişim yolculuğundaki yeriyle Türkiye dağcılık kültürüne katkı sağlamıştır. Makale, Türkiye dağcılık tarihindeki zirve tırmanış rotalarına ve Bilkent Doğa Sporları Topluluğunun bu tırmanışlardaki rolüne odaklanmaktadır.

This study examines the adventure of mountaineering activities on the summit routes in Turkey from the 1920s to the present day, from the perspective of Bilkent Nature Sports Community (DOST). The mountainous terrain, which constitutes a large part of Turkey's geography, has enabled mountaineering activities to gain an important position in Turkish culture. Various organizations have been established from past to present to create and use summit routes passing over these mountainous lands. The Bilkent Nature Sports Community, which has been active since 1989, has contributed to the mountaineering culture of Turkey with its place in the development journey of the summit routes in Turkish mountaineering. The article, focuses on the summit climbing routes in Turkey's mountaineering history and the role of Bilkent Nature Sports Community in these climbs.
