Türkiye’de Rock müziğine yeni bir soluk: Kemancı Rock Bar

Bu çalışmada 1980 ve 1990’ların İstanbul’unda oldukça büyük bir popülariteye sahip olan Kemancı Rock Bar’ın öyküsünün, 1950’li yıllarda ortaya çıkan Rock müzik türünün kitle iletişim araçları ile olan önemli ilişkisi ile beraber açıklanması hedeflenmektedir. Rock müziği, 1950’li yıllardan bu yana hâlâ ayakta durabilmesini kitle iletişim araçlarına borçludur. Kemancı da bu araçlar sonucunda Rock Bar kimliğini kazanmayı başarmıştır ve sadece bir zamanlar bulunduğu Köprüaltı’na değil, İstanbul’un büyük bir çoğunluğuna ismini tanıtabilmiştir. Bu çerçeveden bakılarak Kemancı’nın gerek o zamanların İstanbulluları gerekse bugünün İstanbulluları üzerinde bıraktığı iz açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır.

The purpose of this study is to explain the story of a Rock Bar, Kemancı, which had a huge reputation in the 1980’s-90’s in Istanbul. While explaining the story of Kemancı, the connection between Rock music (which occured in the mid 1950s) and mass media will also be looked at. Standing still and protecting its values since the mid 1950s, rock music owes its success to mass media, which also had contributed Kemancı in gaining its identity as a Rock bar and in attracting the attention of not only the people of Köprüaltı, but also the majority of Istanbul. Based on this perspective, it is aimed to explain the impact Kemancı left on the people of Istanbul, both in the past and today.
