dc.description.abstract | Turkey’s capital Ankara, which has been receiving an intense amount of immigration since the 1930s, has hosted many kinds of cultures. Kavaklıdere district, which is a well-established district, has also been culturally affected by this migration. Due to its location, Tunus Avenue, which is the main subject of this research, is surrounded by well-established culture and art centers, businesses and public buildings. The social activities of these institutions and the people have been studied culturally with the help of old archives and articles within the scope of this research. Archival records of associations operating in the district and interviews with managers have been e[tremely helpful, especially in understanding the cultural texture and history of the district.
