dc.descriptionThe History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.

dc.description.abstractNevzat Yıldırım, Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesinde öğretmen, ASELSAN’ın bulunduğu konumda olmasında önemli bir çalışan, FILPRO projesinin yaratıcısı; aynı zamanda bir eş, baba ve dededir. Kısıtlı ekonomik imkanlarla büyümüştür. Yatılı lise sınavını kazanması sonucu eğitim hayatına devam edebilmiştir. Liseyi bitirdikten lisans hayatına ODTÜ’de devam etmiştir. Lisans, yüksek lisans ve doktora hayatını ODTÜ’de tamamlamıştır. Amerika’da eğitim görevlisi olarak çalıştıktan sonra ASELSAN kadrosuna dahil olmuştur. Filtre yazılımı olan FILPRO projesini geliştirmiştir. 2023’te hala ASELSAN’da danışman olarak çalışmaktadır.
dc.description.abstractNevzat Yıldırım is a teacher at Middle East Technical University, a key employee at ASELSAN, and the creator of the FILPRO Project. He studied at METU and continued studying there for his Master’s degree and doctorate. He went to the States as an instructor. He joined the ASELSAN team afterward. He developed a software called FILPRO. He continues to work as a consultant in 2023.
