dc.descriptionThe History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.en_US

dc.description.abstractBu araştırmada, Türkiye'de, yerli ve yabancı bilim insanlarının, Türk posta puluna basılması durumu incelenmiştir. Bu bilim insanlarının kimler olduğu, Türk posta pulunda yer alma sebepleri, bazı bilim insanlarının posta puluna basılmasının nedenleri ve son olarak diğer ülkeler e ait posta pullarının bilim ve bilim insanları açısından Türk pulu ile karşılaştırılması konuları ele alınmıştır. Yazılı ve sözlü kaynaklardan faydalanarak araştırma tamamlama aşamasına gelmiştir.en_US
dc.description.abstractIn this Project, the situation of printing both local and foreign scientist to the Turkish postage stamp has been investigated. The subtopics are why these people printed to Turkish postage stamp, also why some other scientist were not involved in this predicament and lastly, the comparison of the other countries' postage stamps with Turkish ones in terms of science and scientists. By utilizing primary and secondary sources, this study has came to the finals stage.en_US
