dc.descriptionThe History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.en_US

dc.description.abstractBu araştırmada,1990-2000 yıllarıarasında Bakırköy Ruh Sağlığı ve Sinir Hastalıkları Hastanesi’nde meydana gelen önemli olayları, değişimleri ve yaşanan bu değişim ve dönüşümlerin; tıp bilimine, halka, basına, siyasete ve hastanenin iç süreçlerine nasıl yansıdığı ele alınacaktır. Araştırma, Bakırköy Ruh Sağlığı ve Sinir Hastalıkları Hastanesi’nin kısa tarihçesiyle başlayıp 90’lı yılların sonuna kadar olan dönemi ele alacaktır. Bu araştırmayla günümüzde Türkiye Cumhuriyeti’nin en gelişmiş Gündüz Hastanesi ve Rehabilitasyon Merkezi’ne sahip olan bu hastanenin yenilikçi çalışmalarıyla ruh sağlığı alanında Türkiye’deki konumu tartışılmıştır.en_US
dc.description.abstractIn this research, it is aimed to focus on important events took place, changes made in Bakirkoy Mental Health and Neurological Diseases Hospital and how those changes effected the medical science, people, media, politics and the hospital itself. Theresearch’s scope includes short history of Bakirkoy Mental Health and Neurological Diseases Hospital and its situation in1990’s. Through this research, Bakirkoy Mental Health and Neurological Diseases Hospital which is today known as including the Republic of Turkey’s most developed Day Hospital and Rehabilitation Center’s positionin Turkey is discussed.en_US
