| dc.description | The History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards. | |

| dc.description.abstract | Ahmet Şerif İzgören'in hayatına ve İzgören Akademi'ye giriş yapmadan önce, kişisel gelişim hakkında kısa bir araştırma yapılarak yazıda ilk başta ona yer verildi. Ardından Ahmet Şerifİ İzgören'in çocukluk yılları ve askerlik mesleğine nasıl yöneldiği hakkında kısa bir giriş yapılarak istifasına değinildi. İstifa etmesinin ve akademiyi kurma amacının daha iyi anlaşılabilir olması için etkilendiği insanlara ve akımlara ve yazmış olduğu kitaplara yer verildi. Elde edilen bilgilerle İzgören Akademi'den ve halen yürüttüğü Türkiye Uğur Böcekleri Projesi'nden bahsedildi. | |
| dc.description.abstract | Before focusing on Ahmet Şerif İzgören's life and İzgören Akademi, a brief background information about self-help was given by doing research. After that, a general information about his childhood was given. After his childhood, it was mentioned that why he chose to be a soldier and why he resigned. Also, people whom he was inspired and his books for the purpose of understanding properly why he resigned from the military and he incorporated Ġzgören Akademi were given. Through information obtained, İzgören Akademi and Türkiye Uğur Böcekleri Project which is still being conducted were mentioned. | |
