The events of 6-7 September 1955 were a process in which non-Muslim populations in Türkiye were significantly impacted economically and morally. These incidents are one of the causes influencing mi gration of the non-Muslim population from Türkiye. There are also families that stayed in Türkiye fol lowing the events rather than emigrate. Examples of this are the Giritlioğlu and Küçükincinyan families. This paper will be mentioned why the Giritlioğlu and Küçükincinyan families opted to remain and what they encountered during and after the events.
