    This research paper seeks to understand the work and life of Memnune Birkan, one of the most influential Tezhip artists of Turkey. Analysis of her work as a traditional Tezhip artist will enable us to capture the true essence of Tezhip art in both today's world and in a time when she had just started learning it. Her contribution to help this art form of illumination prosper and her overall significance is to be examined and highlighted as well in the paper. It will make the comprehension of not just Tezhip art, but other art and artists as well, much easier and would serve as a relevant source to provide cognizance on the subject to interested audiences.
