    An investigation of fidelity regions in the dual-pulse 𝝓-OTDR systems

    The dual-pulse interrogation enables the phase extraction from the intensity of the backreflection signal in 𝜙-OTDR systems. We investigate the high and low fidelity regions in the back-reflected signal by analyzing the system response to external disturbances.

    A self-doubling optical parametric oscillator based on aperiodically-poled lithium niobate

    A self-doubling optical parametric oscillator (SDOPO) having one-dimensional aperiodic grating structure based on a LiNbO3 crystal was constructed. The structure was designed to quasi-phase-match both second harmonic generation (SHG) and optical parametric oscillation (OPO) processes. The grating structure contained in the LiNbO3 crystal was based on the construction of a function by summing up two cosine functions with arbitrary phase and amplitude.

    A simple parity-time-symmetric optoelectronic oscillator based on all-fiber coupling

    We experimentally demonstrate a simple parity-time-symmetric optoelectronic oscillator based on all-fiber coupling with single-mode microwave oscillation at 9.5 GHz possessing a phase noise value of −116.2 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz offset.
