dc.descriptionThe History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.en_US

dc.description.abstractBu araştırmada, Samsun Yelken Kulübü’nün kuruluşu, halk tarafından benimsenmesi, yelken sporunun yaygınlaşmasına etkisi ve buna yönelik yapılan çalışmalar incelenmiştir. Bu süreç içinde kulüpte karşılaşılan sorunlar, bu sorunların ne koşullarda ve nasıl aşıldığı ve bu zamana kadar sporcu ve üyeleri için yapılan yenilik ve çalışmalar üzerinde durulmuştur. Yazılı ve sözlü kaynaklardan faydalanılarak araştırma tamamlanmıştır.en_US
dc.description.abstractIn this research, the organization of Samsun Sailing Club, it’s public acceptance and the expansion of the sport of sailing was examined. The main focuses of the research are the problems at the club, and how and under what conditions these problems exceeded and the innovations done for the athletes and members of the club. The research has been completed by making use of written and oral sources.en_US
